What changed
One entry per release, newest first. The footer of every page names the version you are looking at.
1.70.1 2026-10-16 current
Fixed
- The new MCP count cannot be filled with made-up entries. A caller names the tool it wants, and nothing stopped it from naming one that does not exist, or from writing a mail address where its program name belongs — all of which would have landed in the statistics. Only tools that exist are counted now, unknown ones as "unknown", and a program name is cut down to what a program name can be, with any mail address removed entirely. One request can also no longer carry more calls than the limit per minute allows.
1.70.0 2026-10-16
Added
- We now count how the MCP endpoint is used — without counting you. The visit statistics only ever saw browsers, so the endpoint an AI assistant reads this database through was invisible: nobody knew whether it is used at all. Each answered request now notes the time, which tool was called, for which game build, whether it worked and how long it took, plus the name the calling program gives — and an hour later those lines go to a statistics site of their own, separate from the pages, so the readers' numbers stay the readers' numbers. What is not noted, and not sent: your IP address and what you looked for. The privacy notice says so in section 3, and the lines are deleted after 90 days.
1.69.1 2026-10-16
Fixed
- The blueprint import no longer gives up on a blueprint listed twice. The Star Citizen Wiki hands out its list of blueprints in pages. On 12 October one blueprint came twice and another one not at all, and the import gave up — every hour for fourteen hours, keeping the older data each time. The new error page showed it. The import now takes each blueprint once, and when the list comes back short, it fetches it again with differently sized pages until nothing is missing. Should the list stay incomplete all the same, the blueprints already on the site stay as they are, and the error page says why.
1.69.0 2026-10-15
Added
- We now notice when the site breaks for you. Until today an error on the site went into a daily log file that nobody read — on 12 October an import failed every hour for fourteen hours, and nobody saw it. The site now reads its own logs, puts equal errors together and shows them to its admins, and each morning a short mail names what is new since the day before. On a quiet day no mail goes out. The only thing an error now notes in addition is which kind of page or which background job it happened on — never the address you called, and no IP address.
1.68.0 2026-10-15
Fixed
- The pictures on the data pages come from this server now. Ship, weapon, item and place pictures were embedded straight from the Star Citizen wikis and from CIG, so your browser fetched them there — with your IP address — while the privacy policy promises everything comes from here. Each picture is now fetched once by us, re-encoded like any upload (which drops its metadata) and served from this server; where it says the picture came from stays on the page. The same for the preview images in the editors' review lists, which came from YouTube. A picture too big to re-encode used to stay as it came — the whole first run left 744 of them lying there, nearly a gigabyte for a twentieth of the pictures. They are squeezed to the same WebP as the rest now.
1.67.0 2026-10-15
Fixed
- Walkthrough pages no longer ask a foreign server for anything. Every one of them fetched the diagram library from a content delivery network — even the pages that show no diagram at all, 19 requests that carried your IP address to a third party. The privacy policy promises the opposite, in plain words. The library now comes from this server and is only loaded where a diagram actually is.
- The access log keeps only what the privacy policy names. It listed time, method, address, status and the program name — but the file also held the referring page, your language setting and the browser hints your browser sends, which together identify a visitor rather well. All of it is dropped now. A check reads the live log and goes red if a field nobody thought of turns up in it.
- What we promised to delete is deleted now. Three retention promises had nothing behind them: the IP address stored with a mail link (30 days), the personal parts of a piece of feedback (12 months), and a registration whose confirmation link was never used. An hourly job keeps all three, and revoking a key now drops the IP address stored with it instead of keeping it forever.
Changed
- The privacy policy says four things more exactly. The session cookie carries a different name than it said; the "Remember me" cookie was missing from the list; images keep their metadata in the stored original even though the version shown here does not; and a registration you have not confirmed yet is kept for a while before any account exists. All four now stand there as they are.
1.66.0 2026-10-15
Added
- The front page offers the MCP endpoint, too. The turning text at the top has a sixth topic: the address an AI assistant reads this database through. Until now it stood on the help page only, where somebody looks who already knows what they want. Nothing about the endpoint itself changes — it has been open since 1.6.0, read-only, without an account and without a key.
1.65.0 2026-10-15
Changed
- Companion 0.15.1 is now the version for everybody. Until today it was the test version: the home page in the style of the RSI Launcher, "Start RSI Launcher", your numbers of this patch, the last seven days and all time, and one key for the journal and game data. Copies that update themselves get it on their next check; the download on the companion page is this version too. Version 0.13.1 and later install themselves on the first start and put a shortcut on the desktop and in the Start menu — the companion page now says so.
Fixed
- A companion key keeps no IP address, also when it uploads game data. The privacy notice promises that for every companion key, but since 1.63.0 the site wrote down the address of the last game data upload for keys with that right, as it does for the former import keys. It no longer does, and the one address it had written is gone. The privacy notice now also names "Settings" as the place to switch off the overlay and updates, and says that the account check tells the companion whether its key may upload game data.
1.64.0 2026-10-15
Added
- The companion page says what changed, version by version. Under the download there is now a list of every companion version with its notes — the newest one open, the older ones a click away. Versions above the one you can download here are test versions, and they say so. The notes are the same ones this page has always carried; they are only sorted by the companion version they belong to.
Fixed
- The asterisks are gone from these notes. Every entry here was printed exactly as it is written down, so each highlighted phrase came with two asterisks in front and behind it. They are now what they were meant to be: bold.
1.63.0 2026-10-15
Changed
- One key for the companion, instead of two. Sending your game data needed a second key until now, handed out by an admin; your own companion key could only send your journal. From now on there is one key: the one you create on your profile page. An admin allows it to upload game data, and your profile marks the key that may. Keys handed out before keep working, and nothing of what the companion sends changes.
- Companion 0.15.1 (beta) works with that one key. Its settings no longer ask for an import key, and the Game data tab is always there. Without a key, it asks for yours. With a key that may not upload game data yet, it says so, and "Check again" picks up an admin's yes without a restart. Once allowed, it shows the game data view as before.
1.62.0 2026-10-15
Added
- An event ladder now says what a step takes: points. Until now the page could only say that the reward records name the gift and not the price. They do not — the threshold sits in a record of its own, and it is a number of points, not of contracts: for the RSI Discovery Month 2,000, 4,000, 6,500 and 10,000 per track, and 4,500 to 30,000 for your total across all of them. Each step now carries its threshold, read from the game files and sent by the companion. How many points a single contract pays is in none of the files we read, so the page says that instead of guessing a number.
1.61.2 2026-10-15
Fixed
- Companion 0.15.1 (beta): an item's type now comes from the game where our rules only guessed. When the companion reads the game data, an item the game itself attaches as a utility turret is now a "Utility Turret" — in this patch the ROC Mining Arm, which the class name had made a "Turret". The site has kept it out of the ship components since 1.61.1; from the next game data upload on, its own page says what it is, too. The companion also reads, straight from the game files, how many points each reward step of an event needs; the event pages show them since 1.62.0. How many points a contract earns is still nowhere in the files.
Changed
- Companion 0.15.1 (beta): the big button says what it opens: START RSI LAUNCHER. It always opened the RSI Launcher, never the game itself, and now says so; the tray menu too. The button that opened the journal folder is gone.
1.61.1 2026-10-15
Fixed
- The ROC Mining Arm has left the ship components. Since this morning's game build it stood in the component table as a "Turret", with every figure empty — it is the mining arm of the ROC, a ground vehicle, and no ship part. The table now asks the game itself instead of reading the class name: what the game attaches as a utility turret — the mining arms and gimbals of the MOLE, the MOTH and the ROC, the Hermes tractor turret — is not a ship component. The arm keeps its own page and still says what it is; it just no longer claims to be a component, and no longer stands next to ship turrets as "the same kind".
1.61.0 2026-10-15
Changed
- Companion 0.15.0 (beta): the home page in the style of the RSI Launcher. The companion's home page now sits on a Star Citizen wallpaper from CIG's official fan kit, with the launcher's look: a "Game environment" box showing the installed version as the launcher does (e.g. LIVE · 4.10.2-live.12913470), a START GAME button, tabs for this patch, the last 7 days and all time, and your numbers on cards over the picture — now with the places you have been as a card of its own. The bar on top carries the views and, on its own on the right, whether your journal reaches Versefiles. START GAME and the tabs work from the keyboard too. The wallpaper travels inside the companion, so nothing new is downloaded or sent.
1.60.3 2026-10-13
Changed
- An event's rewards now read as what they are: ladders. The RSI Discovery Month hands out sixteen rewards, and the page listed all sixteen as rows of a table. They are in truth four tracks — Collection, Defense, Personal, Transport — of four steps each, and that is how the page shows them now: one row of steps per track, each with the tier and what it hands out. How many contracts a step takes is nowhere in the game files, so the page says that outright instead of guessing a number.
1.60.2 2026-10-13
Fixed
- Product pictures really are whole now. The previous attempt only told the picture how to sit inside its frame, which changed nothing: the frame itself was still square and taller than the box it sat in, so the bottom was cut off exactly as before. Items, weapons and ships now show the entire render.
1.60.1 2026-10-13
Fixed
- Companion 0.14.1 (beta): the home page's tiles no longer cut numbers off. Ten hours of play and more now read as whole hours ("85 h"), a million aUEC and more as "12.3 M" — before, "99 h 59 min" lost its last letter. While a game runs, the time played now keeps counting instead of waiting for the next event, and a fault on the home page can no longer stop the companion from following the game. The companion also no longer adds the patch name to what it uploads, so "nothing new is sent" holds to the letter.
1.60.0 2026-10-13
Added
- Companion 0.14.0 (beta): a home page with "Start game". The companion now opens on a page of its own: one click starts the RSI Launcher, or brings it to the front if it is open already. Below that are your numbers for this patch, the last 7 days or all time — contracts done, time played, sessions, aUEC earned and your success rate, then blueprints and places, quantum jumps, deaths, medbed treatments and CrimeStat changes, refinery orders, sales and purchases. Everything is counted on your PC from the companion's own journal, LIVE and HOTFIX only, and nothing new is sent anywhere. Starting the companion a second time now brings its window to the front.
1.59.1 2026-10-13
Fixed
- A line of template code was printed on item, blueprint and mission pages. Where a blueprint was listed, the page showed `@include('partials.blueprint-mark', ...)` as text behind its name instead of the green tick. Five places were affected, all of them since the tick was introduced.
- Product pictures are no longer cropped. The frame is 16:9, a cooler or a power plant is not — items, weapons and ships now show the whole render instead of its middle. Pictures of places still fill the frame; they are photographs and lose nothing by it.
1.59.0 2026-10-13
Changed
- An account is only created once you confirm your address. Registering now puts the request aside and sends you a link; the account comes into being when you click it, and if you never do, the request expires after 48 hours and leaves nothing behind. Your password is stored hashed even during those two days. That also closes the last thing the registration page gave away: every address — new, known, confirmed or blocked — now gets the same answer and the same page, so nobody can find out from the outside whether an address has an account here.
- Mails now arrive in the recipient's language. All of them were English, whatever the site was set to. They are translated now, and the language is the one belonging to the account that receives the mail — not the one of whoever triggered it, which for a password reset is often somebody else entirely.
1.58.2 2026-10-13
Changed
- Registering with an address that already exists here now always gets the same answer, whether that account is confirmed, unconfirmed or blocked. Before, the wording told you which — and the old "that e-mail is already taken" told you the address was registered at all. What differs is the mail, and that only reaches whoever owns the inbox: an unconfirmed account gets its confirmation link again, a confirmed one gets a note that somebody tried to register with its address.
1.58.1 2026-10-13
Fixed
- Registering again with an address that was never confirmed now sends the link once more. Before, it ended at "that e-mail is already taken" — a dead end for anyone whose first confirmation link had expired. Nothing else happens: no second account, no new password, nobody signed in. The link goes to the address, so only whoever has that inbox gets in. A blocked account gets nothing at all.
1.58.0 2026-10-13
Added
- Every account has a page of its own in the admin area now. The name in the user list links to it: registration, approval, e-mail confirmation, the confirmation link with its expiry, a request for the editor role and the audit trail — all in one timeline, because the answer to "is this a person?" is usually in the order of things. Underneath, what the account has actually done, with the first and last time for each area.
1.57.0 2026-10-12
Changed
- A new account starts as a viewer, and the editor role is given by hand. Viewers read, leave notes, write walkthroughs and send their game log with the companion — all of it unchanged. What moved behind a handshake is correcting the figures of a contract and seeing entries we have taken off the site. Your profile now shows your role at the top, with a button to ask for the editor role; the reason for the split is written next to it.
- An unconfirmed e-mail address no longer signs in, and holds no permission. Three accounts with throwaway addresses had been sitting on editor rights; one of them was demonstrably created by a bot. If the mail never arrived, the sign-in page sends the link again — no account needed for that. Signing in with Citizen iD counts as confirmed: RSI has already checked who you are.
Fixed
- The companion keeps sending its game log on a viewer account. Its upload authenticates with your key and asks for no role at all — that was a condition of the change, and a check now holds it to that.
1.56.0 2026-10-11
Added
- Events have pages of their own. The contracts of an in-game event — the RSI Discovery Month, the Resource Drive, Alliance Aid — used to stand scattered through the catalogue. Each event now has one page with all of its contracts, the rewards it hands out and the items that come with it, and every one of those contracts links back to its event. A new *Events* entry in the menu lists them all.
- The front page shows the event that is running. While players accept an event's contracts — as the Versefiles Companion records it — the event gets a band of its own right under the header, with its number of contracts and its top reward. Contracts in the game files say nothing about *when* an event runs; they often arrive weeks before it and stay long after, so it is what players actually play that decides. Where an event has published dates, those decide instead.
1.55.1 2026-10-11
Fixed
- A blueprint called "<= PLACEHOLDER =>" has left the catalogue. The wiki carried an unfinished entry for the Javelin's cooler — with ingredients and all — and we imported it as a blueprint. It is gone, and the importer now skips a row whose name is a placeholder instead of a name, so the next run cannot bring it back. The same check cleared the placeholder that stood as the manufacturer of 86 weapon attachments; that one never reached a page, but it was in the data.
1.55.0 2026-10-10
Fixed
- Twenty entries that are not missions have left the catalogue. The game writes a contract record for the moment an event hands you something — "You've been awarded: Mantis PHB and TSB Flight Blades" — and seventeen of those had collected in the catalogue: sixteen from the RSI Discovery Month, one from the Overdrive Initiative. Three more were real contracts that the game never gave a title, so they stood there as "IASI - ShipWaveAttack - Easy". Contracts whose *title* merely carries the word "Reward", such as "High Risk, High Reward Salvage", are untouched.
Added
- Curation can now block a whole family by pattern. Until now a block covered either one mission or an entire prefix stem — and for the event rewards the only stem on offer was the one that also holds all 25 real Discovery Month contracts. A pattern sits between the two and is applied again after every import, so the next event's reward notices never reach the catalogue. The curation page shows each pattern with the number of missions it blocks, and removing it gives exactly those back.
1.54.0 2026-10-10
Changed
- "How it works" has moved out of the menu and onto the front page. It is the fifth slide of the rotating header now, where someone arriving for the first time actually looks — the question it answers is a first-time question, while a menu entry serves people who already know what they want. The page itself is unchanged and still there, linked from the slide.
1.53.2 2026-10-10
Fixed
- Mission pages showed the text of another channel. A mission's own page showed the newest text of any channel rather than the one you are looking at. On the LIVE pages of the new RSI Discovery Month contracts (Alpha 4.10.2) that meant the PTU's "<REDACTED>: …" titles and "TBC" descriptions — CIG's placeholders from before the release — while the mission list already showed the finished LIVE text. Mission pages, their history and their walkthroughs now show the text of the channel you have chosen.
1.53.1 2026-10-09
Fixed
- The comparison of old mission versions was all but unreachable. Where a patch rewrote a briefing, the mission page now says so — "The game rewrote this briefing in Alpha 4.10.2" — and links to the comparison, which marks every changed word in the old and the new wording. That comparison is not new; it has been there since v1.12. But the only link to it sat on missions that had *disappeared* from the game, so for every mission still in the game there was no way to it. Missions with several versions in the game files now carry a quiet link to their history as well.
1.53.0 2026-10-09
Added
- The catalogue shows what the newest build brought. Alpha 4.10.2 added 52 missions the game did not have before, and the front page has room for twelve tiles — so it named the number without a way to the rest. The mission list has a new filter for it: *New in Alpha 4.10.2*, *Changed in Alpha 4.10.2* for the ones whose text the patch rewrote, and both together. It comes with the whole catalogue switched on, because a brand new mission has no walkthrough yet. The front page now links straight to the full list.
1.52.0 2026-10-07
Added
- Ship weapons the wiki does not know are on the weapons page now. 26 weapons stood on no page at all — among them the Ardor salvaged repeaters from Pyro, the Echion, the Sledge II, the three Trident laser beams and the Vanduul cannons. They come straight from the game files and are marked as such: the wiki carries no figures for them, so their columns stay empty, and they sort to the end.
Fixed
- Two turrets and the Burke quantum dampener were on no page. The game writes their type in a place we did not read, or not at all. Point-defence turrets (the "Swarm", the "Torrent") and the Reliant's Toshima turret were missing from the components table for the same reason and are in now. Ground turrets stay out — a ship does not carry them.
1.51.2 2026-10-07
Fixed
- The OxyPen was nowhere to be found. CureLife's oxygen pen was missing from the Medical table, and from the search with it, because the game writes no item type for it and the table goes by type. An item the game leaves untyped no longer drops out; the OxyPen now stands with its eleven siblings and takes the type the wiki gives it.
- Searching a table of items now reads the description too, not just name and manufacturer. Searching "stim" therefore finds the BoostPen and the AdrenaPen — the game calls neither of them a stim, it calls the one a stimulant in its text. The search box now says what it searches.
1.51.1 2026-10-07
Changed
- Companion 0.13.2 for testers (beta). The button "Versefiles…" in the companion's window is now called "Settings", and so is the window it opens. In the taskbar the companion now shows as "Versefiles Companion" with its own icon instead of as Windows PowerShell; shortcuts made by 0.13.1 are brought up to date when 0.13.2 first starts.
1.51.0 2026-10-05
Added
- The companion gets its own icon and no longer keeps a console window open — for testers first, in Companion 0.13.1 (beta). Started by a double-click, it now runs without the black window that used to stay open beside it. On its first start it installs itself into %LOCALAPPDATA%\Versefiles\Companion, puts a "Versefiles Companion" shortcut with the new icon on the desktop and in the Start menu, and removes the file you downloaded; from then on you start it from the shortcut. It installs only a version signed by Versefiles and never puts an older version over a newer one. Everybody gets 0.13.1 once it has been tested.
- The overlay finds more contracts. Some contracts have no title of their own in the game files and take the title of whoever offers them: the Adagio salvage rights claims ("Claim #…"), a dozen ship bounties of the Bounty Hunters Guild and three TarPits jobs. Versefiles reads those titles now, so the overlay finds these contracts, and the ones you have already completed count on their mission pages.
1.50.2 2026-10-05
Fixed
- The machine interface (`/mcp`) named star-citizen.wiki as the source of a mission's reward and timing figures even where they had been read straight from the game files by the upload tool — which, since the broker covers most contracts, is the case for the large majority. It now names whichever of the two it was, the same as the mission page has done all along.
1.50.1 2026-10-05
Fixed
- The machine interface (`/mcp`) named the source of a mission's figures as "Game.dcb via api.star-citizen.wiki," with nothing behind the comma whenever the game build is unknown — which it is for most missions, because the wiki states it for only a few. The build is now simply left out.
1.50.0 2026-10-04
Added
- A beta channel for the companion. New companion versions now go to testers first and reach everybody only once they have been tested. The first test version is Companion 0.13.0. With it comes a tick under "Versefiles…", "Get test versions first (beta)", for anybody who wants to try new versions early; they may still have faults. Your companion gets 0.13.0 by itself once it has been tested.
- Coming with 0.13.0: the overlay also comes up for contracts Versefiles does not know yet, with the title and step from the game, and says so when Versefiles cannot be reached.
1.49.4 2026-10-03
Fixed
- Contracts like these that you completed before 1.49.3 are now placed afterwards as well, so they count on their mission pages, in the times players need and in your own record.
1.49.3 2026-10-03
Fixed
- The overlay finds more contracts. The game log sometimes adds a number to a contract's internal name ("…_Intro_0") that the game files do not have. Where the title could not tell either, the site found nothing and the overlay did not come up — Shubin's purchase orders, for example, share each title between several missions. Now the site tries the name without that number when nothing has the exact one. Contracts like these that you complete from now on count on their mission pages too. Your companion needs no update for this.
1.49.2 2026-10-03
Fixed
- The companion no longer goes down with a second contract. From 0.12.0 on, the overlay could come up empty when it switched to another contract, and the hotkey could then close the companion. It happened whenever the contract shown had steps you had not reached yet, such as a fresh one with a walkthrough. A contract the site does not know got its name back as well; it showed a blank title before. Companion 0.12.2.
- Should something in the companion's window still fail, the companion keeps running and writes what happened to errors.log in its data folder (%LOCALAPPDATA%\Versefiles\Companion). The file stays on your PC.
1.49.1 2026-09-30
Fixed
- The overlay finds the right mission more often: the game writes a contract's internal name a line before "Contract Accepted", and the companion used to drop it and look the contract up by its title alone. Now it keeps the name for the acceptance that follows. Companion 0.12.1.
1.49.0 2026-09-30
Added
- Several contracts at once in the overlay. The companion follows every contract you have open, not only the last one you took. The one that moved last stands in full at the top — a new step of any of them brings it there — and the others follow one line each with the step they are at. Press Alt+Shift+P again while the panel is up to see the next one in full; after the last one it closes. Started during a game, the companion picks up the contracts already open from its journal. Companion 0.12.0.
1.48.2 2026-09-29
Changed
- The overlay gives the time players need as a span: "12–18 min (median 14)" — the middle half of all runs and the median, as the mission page states it. The extremes would say less: one contract left open over lunch stretches them. Your own line adds your fastest run. Companion 0.11.2.
1.48.1 2026-09-29
Changed
- The overlay's reward and time now show up for real contracts. Most contracts pay by a formula, so the game files name no figure — there the overlay now says what players were paid, as their logs record it, once three players have done the contract. With your companion key it also shows your own time and the reward you got last, next to how often you did it; your own figures need no three players. Companion 0.11.1.
1.48.0 2026-09-29
Added
- What a contract pays and how long players take, in the overlay. Right under the title the companion's overlay now says the reward and how long players need from accepting to completing — so a contract without a walkthrough still shows something useful, along with its blueprints. The time is the middle of the measured runs and appears once three players have run the contract, as on the mission page. Companion 0.11.0.
1.47.1 2026-09-29
Changed
- The front page opens about a second faster. It was counting the same thing four times over — how many contracts the catalogue holds — and looked up what the last patch brought on every single visit. Both are worked out once now and kept for a few minutes; a new import shows up at once, as before.
1.47.0 2026-09-29
Added
- The companion says it is ready. When a game starts, its overlay says once which session it follows, where your journal goes and which keys bring the contract back — so you know before the first contract that it is listening. It shows as soon as the game's window is up, and also when you start the companion during a game.
- Blueprints you own are ticked in the overlay. With a companion key, the blueprints a contract can hand out show which ones you have already — received in the game or marked by hand on the site — with how many of the pool are yours; the ones still to get come first. Companion 0.10.0.
1.46.0 2026-09-29
Added
- Each new step of a contract shows. When the game gives you the next objective, the companion's overlay comes back by itself: first as it was, and a second later the step changes, so you see what moved on. In the list of steps from the game, the open ones are lit and the done ones dimmed. The same objective sent twice or a counter going up (0/12 → 4/12) does not bring it back. Switch this off on its own under "Versefiles…" in the companion's window. Companion 0.9.0.
1.45.1 2026-09-29
Fixed
- In the companion's Game data view, a button that cannot be used right now — during a run, say — looks switched off: grey text and a grey frame. It used to keep its blue frame with dark, barely readable text. Companion 0.8.1.

- One program instead of two. The upload tool is part of the Versefiles Companion now (0.8.0). With an import key — editors get one — the companion's window has a Game data view that reads the installed build and uploads it, and a notification says when your game has a build Versefiles does not have yet. A run goes on in the background: the journal and the overlay carry on meanwhile. The companion takes over the old tool's key and game folder by itself; an installed QuestGuideUploader.cmd updates itself one last time and then points to the companion. Without an import key the companion looks and works as before.
1.44.2 2026-09-28
Fixed
- The key combination that brings the overlay back now works while you play: Alt+Shift+P instead of Ctrl+Alt+V, which never arrived while the game had the focus. The companion only checks whether exactly this combination is held down and keeps nothing of it; the keys still reach the game. Companion 0.7.2 — an older one installs it by itself once the game is closed.
1.44.1 2026-09-28
Changed
- The button that adds a blueprint to the ones you own is now called Have it instead of "I have it" — in the catalogue and on the blueprint page. The two places that name the button in a sentence say the new name too.
1.44.0 2026-09-28
Added
- The Versefiles Companion says when an update is ready: Install … now in the window installs it at once, even during a game, and Check for updates in the tray menu asks right away. It also asks right after the game closes, so a new version arrives the same evening instead of up to six hours later. Companion 0.7.1.
1.43.1 2026-09-28
Changed
- The tick that says a blueprint is yours now sits right behind the name, one space away. It used to drift somewhere into the middle of the row: the row shares its space between the name and the drop chance, and the tick was counted as a third thing to place.
1.43.0 2026-09-28
Added
- Mission info over the game. When you accept a contract, the Versefiles Companion shows what Versefiles knows about it in a small panel over the game for twenty seconds: the steps, where other players got stuck, the blueprints it can hand out and your own record. Ctrl+Alt+V brings it back. It works in every channel and needs the game in borderless mode; it never takes the focus or a click and does not touch the game. Nothing of it is stored — the journal still takes LIVE and HOTFIX only. Companion 0.7.0; a 0.6.x installs it by itself once the game is closed.
1.42.0 2026-09-28
Added
- Wherever a blueprint is named, you can see whether you already have it: on a contract page (both the blueprints it hands out and the ones players actually received), on an item page and its variants, on a resource page under "needed for", on a blueprint page under its variants and "needed for", and on your list. The mark says where it comes from — your game log, or your own hand.
- Only what you own is marked. A "not yours" on every line of a 1,606-entry catalogue would be noise, and the mark only reads as a mark while it is rare.
1.41.0 2026-09-27
Added
- An abandoned contract can be waved away without an answer. "Why did you give up?" was voluntary, but the only way out was to claim one of the five reasons; now there is Do not ask about this one. The message right after carries an undo, and under *My log* the dismissed questions sit folded away, so a reason can still be added later.
- What is dismissed is the question, not the abandon: it comes from your game log, and the mission page keeps counting it with the step it hung at. Only the reason is missing.
1.40.1 2026-09-27
Added
- The Versefiles Companion shows its version in the window title and the tray, and the Versefiles account its key belongs to in the status line and under "Versefiles..." - so you can see where your journal goes. Companion 0.6.1; a 0.6.0 installs it by itself once the game is closed.
1.40.0 2026-09-27
Added
- The Versefiles Companion and the upload tool update themselves. They ask this site for a newer version at start, and the companion every six hours as well. They install it by themselves: the companion only once the game is closed, never in the middle of a game. Installed is only a version signed by Versefiles, checked on your PC before anything is replaced, and the previous one stays next to it as a .bak file. Switch it off in the companion under "Versefiles...", in the upload tool with "autoUpdate": false in its config.json. Companion 0.6.0 and upload tool 1.0.0 are the first to do it, so download them once more by hand.
- The download pages name the version of each tool.
1.39.3 2026-09-27
Fixed
- Text fields show their coloured border again when you click into them. The tick box fix in 1.39.2 had quietly taken it away — the rule that excludes tick boxes outranked the one that colours a focused field.
1.39.2 2026-09-27
Fixed
- The tick box in front of "Yes, delete everything the companion uploaded" sat as a wide block above its own label instead of next to it. It was not that page: every tick box on the site was being stretched to full width by the rule meant for text fields. Tick boxes now keep their size — and wear the site colour instead of the browser blue.
1.39.1 2026-09-27
Changed
- The game data page puts Industry, Resources, Blueprints and Locations side by side at the top, without a group name over each — a heading above a single tile only said its name twice. Ships and FPS follow below, where a name earns its place.
1.39.0 2026-09-27
Fixed
- The reputation page has a German address at last: versefiles.com/de/reputation. It was the only public page without one. The page itself has been translated for weeks, but its German text hung on the language cookie — and a search engine arrives without one, so Google only ever saw the English version. Worse, the address directory had been listing `/de/reputation` since 23 September, where it answered with an error.
- The address directory now notices a renamed resource page by the addresses themselves instead of by a timestamp next to them. A rename of one ore page had left the old, dead address in the list.
Changed
- The game data section is grouped instead of being one heap of thirteen tiles: Ships (ships, ship weapons, components, flight blades, missiles and torpedoes), FPS (armor, personal weapons, medical, weapon attachments), then Industry, Resources, Blueprints and Locations. Looking for armor no longer means reading past mining lasers and flight blades.
1.38.1 2026-09-27
Fixed
- The sitemap follows every data upload, not only a new game build: after the Hephaestanite fix it still listed the resource page under its old address.
1.38.0 2026-09-27
Added
- Places you have been: your dashboard lists every place your game logs show you at — a place counts once you opened an inventory there — with your last visit, linked to its location page where there is one. The location list marks them and filters by visited or not yet, and a location page says when you were last there. Recorded by the Versefiles Companion.
- On your list, the raw materials of a recipe link to where they are mined.
Fixed
- Hephaestanite is found under its own name: the game files call it "Hephaestanite (R)", and recipes did not reach its resource page.
- Search engines are told about every public page: the resources, five of the data tables, the companion page, the changelog and the legal pages were missing from the sitemap, and it named a German reputation page that does not exist.
1.37.0 2026-09-27
Added
- Resources: every ore, gem and plant the game spawns, and where — planet, moon or belt, by ship, ground vehicle or by hand — read from the game files of the current build. One page per resource with the places, the share of its deposit there and how much of the rock it makes up, and the blueprints that need it.
- Location pages say what can be mined there, per way of mining, with what each rock is made of.
- Blueprint recipes link their raw materials to the resource page; what the game files do not place — Sadaryx, for one, is set by hand in the Breaker Stations — still links to SCMDB.
- The upload tool reads the mining data from Game2.dcb.
1.36.0 2026-09-27
Added
- "Latest activity" on the front page says what happened on each mission, as a badge with the date: a new walkthrough, an update, an editor's check, one in review or a draft, a new or an edited note.
- Blueprint pages link every raw material of a recipe to SCMDB, which lists where it is mined.
Fixed
- No erkul link on salvage heads and scraper modules either — erkul plans ship loadouts and mining, not salvage.
1.35.1 2026-09-27
Fixed
- Blueprints the game names with their class in brackets — "Defiant (Ind/0/B)" — are found in the catalogue now: linked on your dashboard and ticked on your list, the ones received before included.
- The erkul link on item pages only where erkul helps, on ship components, ordnance and ship-mounted mining and salvage heads — no longer on hand weapons, armour or medical items.
Changed
- "Steps in the game" only for fixed contracts. Procedural ones write places, goods and — in a bounty on a player — other players' names into their objectives; those stay off the site. The privacy page says so.
1.35.0 2026-09-27
Added
- Steps in the game on mission pages: the steps of a contract as the game showed them, in the order they are played — recorded from players' game logs by the Versefiles Companion. For most contracts the game files carry no objective text at all, so this is the first place the steps appear, like the four of Moraine Data Retrieval. The build they come from is named; for procedural contracts they are one run as an example.
Fixed
- The mission list kept "with walkthrough" only as long as the "done" filter was off: searching with both switched the list to all missions.
1.34.0 2026-09-26
Added
- Contracts you have completed carry a mark, from your game log via the Versefiles Companion: under the title of the mission page — done how often, when last, and how often given up — and "✓ done" on the tiles of the mission list, which filters by it: done by you, or not done yet.
- The dashboard links to every contract you have done.
1.33.0 2026-09-26
Added
- Your blueprints on the dashboard: every blueprint you own, by kind — the ones your game log recorded, and the ones you marked yourself.
- "I have it" on every blueprint page and in the blueprint catalogue, for blueprints your game log did not record: from before your logs go back, or from anywhere else. The catalogue gets an "owned" column and filter; marking takes one click, without reloading. A marked blueprint is ticked on your list like one you received.
- Abandoned contracts: My log and the dashboard show where each contract you gave up stopped — the step still open in your game log — and ask why, with one click: a step would not complete, took too long, died or lost ship or cargo, changed plans, something else. An optional note appears once an editor has read it.
- Mission pages show where players give up a contract and why, once three players have given it up — counted from the catalogue's LIVE build on, since a patch can fix the cause. Without names.
- Companion 0.5.0: right after you give up a contract, a notification names the step where it stopped; a click opens My log to say why. The contract is sent at once, so it is already there.
Changed
- The privacy page explains the reasons for giving up and the blueprints you mark.
1.32.0 2026-09-26
Changed
- The front page opens with four topics taking turns instead of one explanation: the Versefiles Companion first, then contract times measured in the game, blueprints, and the mission database itself. The list beside them picks one directly; the turn waits while the mouse pointer or the keyboard is in it, and the pause button stops it. With reduced motion set in your system, nothing turns by itself.
1.31.1 2026-09-26
Fixed
- My log and the list of companion keys on the profile page failed to load after 1.31.0.
1.31.0 2026-09-26
Added
- Your game sessions on the dashboard: sessions and time played, contracts completed, blueprints, refinery orders, deaths and rewards in total, the latest sessions one by one — and how long each contract took you, median and fastest run.
- Mission pages measure how long a contract takes, from accepting to completing: the median over all players once three accounts have contributed. Signed in, you see your own time as well.
Changed
- My log, the dashboard and the profile show times in your own time zone instead of UTC.
- The companion's "Hangar assigned" is now "Hangar request completed" — the game sends it for landing and departure requests alike. Companion 0.4.0.
1.30.0 2026-09-26
Fixed
- The refusal handed to a scraper that poses as a browser pointed at the MCP endpoint as the proper way in — and that endpoint turned it away in exactly the same manner, because every route of the site sits in one group. Measured against the live site before the fix: `/mcp` answered 403 instead of 405, the API 403 instead of 401. The two machine paths, `/mcp` and everything under `/api/v1/`, are now exempt, so the door the refusal points at is actually open. A page of the site is still refused, and nothing there needs a key: behind the API sits a token, behind the endpoint a question that costs one answer instead of six thousand page views.
1.29.1 2026-09-26
Changed
- The companion counts live progress only: sessions from LIVE and from HOTFIX, which plays on the live database. PTU and Tech Preview sessions stay on your PC; the ones sent before are gone.
- Your dashboard shows your last game session: contracts completed, blueprints received, refinery orders, rewards and deaths — with the blueprints and contracts by name.
- My log counts refinery orders and deaths too.
- A new companion key now stands out on a light background, with a button that copies it.
1.29.0 2026-09-26
Added
- Versefiles Companion. A small Windows program that follows the log Star Citizen writes while you play and keeps a journal: contracts, the blueprints you received and which contract gave them, rewards, sales and purchases. Download and details on the new Companion page.
- My log. With a companion key from your profile, the companion sends its journal here: your blueprints, your sessions, what happened. Only you see it, and you can delete it any time.
- Your list ticks off the blueprints the game hands you — including the ones you received before you added the entry.
- Mission pages show what players actually received from a contract, once three accounts have contributed. No names.
1.28.1 2026-09-26
Changed
- My list shows dependencies instead of a to-do list. Seven contracts that each may drop the same blueprint are seven alternatives, not seven tasks — the Aves Core read "0 of 11" as if you had to run them all. Now a plan has ways (buy it or craft it), each way lists what you must have (the blueprint, the materials), and the contracts sit under the blueprint as places it drops. Only what you must have carries a checkbox: four instead of eleven.
- Tick the blueprint and the contracts under it go quiet — you no longer need them.
1.28.0 2026-09-26
Changed
- The item lists fold colour variants into one row — 369 rows of personal weapons became 98. The personal weapons carried 356 rows for 292 weapons — the Arrowhead Sniper Rifle stood there ten times, once per paint job, with identical figures. One row now says "+9 variants" and opens them on a click; each still has its own page.
- Above every list: Colour variants — folded in / one row each, with the row count. Searching still finds a paint job by name even while the list is folded.
1.27.1 2026-09-26
Fixed
- Item prices were gone the same way the ship prices were: the wiki API hands out `uex_prices` in list queries only when asked for by name. All 2,535 rows carried none. The import asks now — 888 items have a price again — keeps the previous value where the source names none, and reports the number.
- A plan now finds blueprints and prices under every spelling of a class name (with and without the leading underscore, with and without `_SCItem`). That alone took the items with a known way from 641 to 1,115.
- A store or colour variant carries no recipe of its own. Instead of saying nothing, the plan now names the plain version that is craftable.
- Where something can be bought *and* crafted, both ways are shown; the purchase step used to be dropped.
1.27.0 2026-09-26
Added
- My list. Remember an item, a ship or a blueprint, and the site works out how to get there: which contract hands out the blueprint, which walkthrough covers that contract, what the recipe needs and in what quantity. Every step can be ticked off, and the bar shows how far you are.
- The way is read out of the game files, not guessed. Where no blueprint makes an item, the plan says so and stops instead of inventing a source.
1.26.0 2026-09-25
Changed
- Fonts, images and the favicon now tell the browser to keep them for a year; the stylesheet for an hour. None of them carried that instruction before, so every visit fetched them again — Google measured 391 KiB per view.
- The pictures from the official fan kit are delivered in the size they appear in. They are print masters — the community badge is 1418 x 1418 pixels and 551 KB for a spot 58 pixels high, the faction logos up to 9137 pixels wide for 24. A scaled copy now sits next to each original: same pixels in fewer of them, same aspect ratio, same format, same transparency; nothing redrawn, nothing recoloured. Together 1.12 MB became 58 KB. The originals stay where they are and remain reachable.
- The rotating header pictures are fetched one at a time, just before each is shown. The page used to pull both extra motifs right after loading — about 190 KB that most visitors never see, because the first change comes after nine seconds.
- The font declarations are part of the page instead of a separate file. A stylesheet in the head holds up painting until it arrives; for 4.4 KB that were needed on every page anyway, Google measured 650 ms.
1.25.0 2026-09-25
Changed
- The type of a contract now comes from the game where nobody has filed it by hand: 158 missions carried a contract class, 1,166 do now. The mission broker in Game2.dcb names it — Mercenary, Collection, Delivery, Bounty Hunter and fourteen more. A class set by a person still wins, and each page says where its class came from.
- The system a mission plays in can now come from the location the broker names, resolved through the game's own location table. 607 missions carried a system, 807 do now, and fewer of them have to inherit it from their contractor.
- The contractor page leads with what the game knows: stems it can assign, with the name derived from the game key and one click to take it over. Also a list where curation and game disagree. The old note claiming the contractor cannot be extracted has been retired — that stopped being true when the broker was read.
- Ship prices are back: 173 of 299 ships had lost theirs. The wiki API stopped delivering them in list queries unless asked for by name, and the run of 24 September wrote empty ones over the lot without failing. The import now asks for them, keeps the previous value where the source names none, and says so in its output.
- The video suggestions are sorted by what changes something: 480 of the 534 missions with an open suggestion have no video at all, and those come first. Nothing was switched off; the pile is now a work list.
- A request that claims to be a browser and is not is turned away. One program walked the whole catalogue at three-second intervals for two days — 1,800 fetches under changing identities, counted as readers. It is recognised by the language header it sends, which no browser produces. Machine access stays welcome: the API and the MCP endpoint answer a question with one request instead of six thousand page views, and the refusal says so. No search engine crawler is affected.
1.24.0 2026-09-23
Added
- Two small tools read the new access log: who fetches the pages (tools/crawler.sh) and what answered with an error (tools/fehlerlog.php). The first run found a Semrush crawler, Applebot, Amazonbot and ChatGPT within half an hour — and four addresses answering 404.
- The site can carry the verification tag for Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools; both are set in the environment and left out of the page when empty.
1.23.1 2026-09-23
Added
- German has its own address. Every public page now exists twice: plain for English, under /de for German — https://versefiles.com/de/missions. Both name each other in the page head (hreflang), each points at itself as the canonical one, and both are in the sitemap. The site has been fully translated for weeks, but the language hung on a cookie, and a search engine arrives without one: German was invisible to Google while a quarter of the visitors come from Germany.
- The language switch now moves you to the other address instead of only setting a cookie.
1.22.0 2026-09-23
Changed
- A mission page without a walkthrough now leads with what it does have: the briefing and the objectives. The call to write the first walkthrough moved below them. Visitors arriving from a search engine used to see an empty box first and left within seconds.
- Every mission page carries a short list of related contracts — same contractor, otherwise same type, documented ones first. Before, a page without a series was a dead end.
Added
- Pages that cannot answer any search — sixteen whose name the game only fills in while you play, three with no content at all — now say so to search engines and stay out of the sitemap. They are unchanged for readers.
- The application writes an access log without IP addresses, so we can finally see whether search engines fetch the mission pages. Times, addresses, status codes and the caller name; IP, cookies and keys are dropped. The privacy page says so.
1.21.0 2026-09-23
Changed
- Page titles say which game this is: "Emergency: Blinding Hope in Trouble — Star Citizen mission" instead of the bare contract name. Two other Star Citizen sites already do that and stand ahead of us in Bing and DuckDuckGo for exactly these names.
- The description a search engine shows now leads with what the game says — contractor, reward, time limit, system — and mentions the walkthrough afterwards. Before, every mission without one ended on "No walkthrough yet - write the first one.": the last line a searcher read before deciding not to click.
Added
- The walkthroughs are in sitemap.xml. They have their own address, they are the only thing here that exists nowhere else, and they were the one thing missing from our own directory.
- A walkthrough page carries its author, its dates and the contract it belongs to as structured data.
Fixed
- A page that answers in two languages now says so in its headers (Vary), so no cache can hand the German text to an English reader.
1.20.0 2026-09-22
Changed
- The mission list starts with the missions that have a walkthrough. Ten of 1,695 do, and finding them meant paging through the whole catalogue. The switch above the list holds all three views — with a walkthrough, everything, and the ones still to write — each with its count, and the other filters stay put when you change it.
- The badge on a mission tile says "1 walkthrough" instead of "1 workflow" — in German it said "Ablauf", which is what the mission page calls the course of the mission.
1.19.0 2026-09-22
Added
- The upload tool no longer insists on `C:\Program Files`: the game folder can be typed in or picked with *Browse…*, is saved with the other settings, and `-GamePath` sets it for headless runs. Left alone, the tool takes the folder the RSI Launcher installed to, read from the launcher's own log.
1.18.1 2026-09-22
Fixed
- The list of vanished missions says when an entry left the catalogue by a rule change of the upload tool rather than with a patch.
- An upload with a newer recognition of the tool but an unchanged game file was taken for "same source, nothing to do", so a rule change never reached the catalogue without a manual force. A changed extractor version now counts as a changed source.
1.18.0 2026-09-21
Changed
- Two columns nobody read are gone from the database (the build a mission first appeared in - computed per channel instead - and an unused mail-verification stamp). Nothing on the site changes.
1.17.0 2026-09-21
Changed
- On a phone the header is one line again: the mark on the left, a Menu button on the right. The navigation, the build choice and the language choice open below it as a list and close with the same button. Before, the header wrapped into four lines and took half the screen.
1.16.0 2026-09-21
Changed
- Thirteen journal texts leave the catalogue: the Bounty Hunters Guild's tracker licences ("Tracker Beginner's Permit" and its five siblings - a title each, let in by their difficulty suffix) and the chapter texts of the Pyro event. Anything with "journal" in its key is a journal entry, not a contract (extractor 4).
- The curation browser says, per contractor key, how many entries the game's own mission broker of the current build knows and how many only the wiki lists, with a filter for the stems neither has heard of. Journal texts, showroom labels and old procedural variants show up there as 0 / 0 - so does the content of past events, so it is a judgement call, not an automatic block.
1.15.1 2026-09-21
Fixed
- The first upload with 1.15 failed on the server: the not-for-release scramble races carry a respawn time of -1 ("never"), which the unsigned column refused. Negative game values are no figure and are stored as none.
1.15.0 2026-09-21
Changed
- Far more contracts carry figures from the game files - 1,241 missions of the catalogue instead of 983, the wiki fills in for about 60. Three things had kept them out: records flagged "not for release" were dropped, though the game runs them (the Pyro courier runs, Battaglia's scan contracts, Pyro's narcotics raids) - they stay now, with a hint on the page; titles that are a contractor placeholder ("~mission(Contractor|...)") are resolved through the contractor's own string table, so Vaughn's "Down For the Count" gets Vaughn's record, not the generic one; and a mission without a record of its own borrows the record of the mission with the same title, the way the wiki attributes them.
1.14.0 2026-09-21
Added
- The course of a contract, as far as the game files tell it: the phases a contract runs through (from the objective tokens and their handler modules - "Eliminate all targets", "Replace the components", "Survive the ambush") and the rules between them, often in the developer's own words ("On mission start, activate a random mission phase", "When any THREE phases are complete, complete the mission"). Shown in the game-files panel of the mission page for 1,654 contracts of LIVE 4.10.1 where the flow says more than "one phase, done = done". The objective texts themselves live in Subsumption modules CIG does not ship to the client - this is the skeleton, not the walkthrough.
- The contract template's name is stored with every contract.
Fixed
- "Move" on an objective of a series did nothing visible: the page shows one line per objective (short and long form together), the move took only one of the two, and the other stayed. A move now takes the pair.
1.13.0 2026-09-21
Added
- Weapons and missiles straight from the game files: the upload tool now reads every ship weapon (228), rocket pod (9), personal weapon (405), missile (72) and missile rack (152) out of Game2.dcb - the fire actions of the weapon and the ammunition record behind its magazine or container. Damage per shot, rate of fire, DPS, range (projectile speed times lifetime), heat per shot, magazine and capacity, damage by type, and every fire mode - single, automatic, burst with its shot count, charged with its charge time and bonus, shotgun pellets - come from the running installation; missiles carry blast damage, speed, flight range, seeker type, lock time, lock range and cone, arm time; racks say how many missiles of which size they hold. The wiki keeps adding pictures, prices and shops. Ship weapon, personal weapon and missile pages and lists mark the source; the ship weapon list sorts by the game's DPS.
Changed
- Table columns that used to say "wiki" say "game · wiki" where the game filled them, and the compare pages group the figures accordingly.
1.12.1 2026-09-21
Fixed
- Item pages answered 500 for a few minutes after 1.12.0: a Blade directive glued to the next one (@endif@if) in the new "Also as" line. The self-test now renders the three pages instead of only asking the controller.
1.12.0 2026-09-21
Changed
- Blueprints in one row per item: the twenty colours of the ADP Core, the six finishes of a Custodian SMG, the editions of an Artimex set were twenty, six, five rows of the list. The game files say what belongs together - the upload tool now sends every entity class with its localisation keys (26,000 in LIVE 4.10.1) - and the list folds them: 1,606 blueprints in 1,020 rows, the plain one first, the rest on the blueprint page under "Variants" and searchable from the list.
- Every blueprint links the item it makes where the site has a page for it: the class a blueprint names (cds_legacy_armor_heavy_core_01_01_02) and the key an item page hangs on (_cds_legacy_heavy_armor_01_core) meet in the game's own entity definition. Armor and hand weapons link now; before, only components whose class names happened to match. The item page shows one blueprint and names the variants.
1.11.0 2026-09-20
Added
- Component figures straight from the game files: the upload tool sends the parameters of every power plant, cooler, shield generator, quantum drive and radar out of Game2.dcb (376 in LIVE 4.10.1). Shield HP, regen and delays, cooling, quantum speed, spool and cooldown, power output and draw, EM and IR signatures, hull HP now come from the running installation; the wiki keeps adding pictures, prices and shops. Item pages mark the game's fields.
- Video previews without a Google request: the preview picture of an embedded video comes from this server (fetched once, kept, served with long cache headers); the visitor's browser contacts YouTube only on the click. Privacy notice updated.
Changed
- README is an overview now and points at the wiki; the project documentation lives in the BookStack book "Versefiles" (pages 25 and 26 new: Data section, Game2.dcb; page 16 lists everything still open).
1.10.2 2026-09-19
Changed
- Reward, time limit, reset timer, legality and the standing a contract pays now come from the game files wherever the upload tool has the mission - 983 of them - and only the rest from the wiki. Front page, lists, mission pages and the MCP tools show the same figures; the mission page says which source it is. Faction names are the game's own display names, so the standing lines land on the right dossiers.
1.10.1 2026-09-19
Added
- The contract system, too: the story and career contracts (Battaglia, Vaughn, the Pyro guilds, RedWind and Covalex hauling, Shubin mining, Wikelo) hang on contract generators, not on the broker. 1,778 contracts, 1,744 tied to a mission - with the four difficulty axes the Contract Manager rates (mechanical skill, mental load, risk of loss, game knowledge, each to 7), the career rank required, time to complete, standing paid, blueprints handed out. Their reward is calculated by the game from those axes and shows as such. With the broker, 983 missions of the site now carry figures straight from the game files.
1.10.0 2026-09-19
Added
- The upload tool now reads Game2.dcb - the game's compiled data - out of the player's own Data.p4k and sends what the mission broker knows: reward, time limit, reset timer, cooldown after abandoning, respawn, crime-stat range, sharing, the reputation a contract asks for and pays out per outcome, and the contracts that unlock it. 1,933 broker records, 1,811 of them tied to a mission of the site. Mission pages show it as "From the game files", with prerequisites linked. Hours after a patch, not weeks.
Fixed
- The tool's zstd decoder failed on Game2.dcb (a predefined table had one entry too many; global.ini never used it) - and it unrolled every extracted file byte by byte through the PowerShell pipeline, which made the localisation extract slower than it had to be.
1.9.6 2026-09-19
Changed
- Data tables on a phone: every row becomes a card - the name on top, label and value per line, empty fields left out, the compare box in the corner. A "Sort by" select in the toolbar takes the place of the column headers. Nothing scrolls sideways any more; only the compare page keeps its scrolling table, on purpose.
1.9.5 2026-09-19
Changed
- Industry gear finds its wiki row by name where the class names differ (the game's Mining_MiningLaser_Greycat_Default_S1 is the wiki's Mining_Laser_GRIN_Arbor_S1): 98 of 111 items now carry picture, price and where to buy - before, 30. Gadgets, salvage heads, towing beams, fuel nozzles and pods are imported from the wiki for that.
1.9.4 2026-09-17
Added
- Data section "Flight blades" - listed ahead of their time: 72 blades, one standard, handling and speed tuning per ship, linked to the ship, with the wiki's flight-controller figures (SCM, max and boost speed, pitch, yaw, roll) where the wiki has them. The page says they are not yet in play.
1.9.3 2026-09-17
Added
- Data section "Weapon attachments": 90 optics, barrels and underbarrels with kind, magnification and zoom, aim time and every modifier the game writes on them (spread, recoil, projectile speed, damage, audible range); price from the wiki. Comparable.
1.9.2 2026-09-17
Added
- Data section "Medical": the pens, the ParaMed devices, the MedGel refills and the medical case - what each does in the game's own words, the blood drug level one dose adds (wiki) and the price.
1.9.1 2026-09-17
Added
- Data section "Missiles & torpedoes": 72 missiles, torpedoes, ground-vehicle missiles, bombs and rockets. Size and tracking signal from the game files; damage, speed, flight range, lock time, lock range and cone, and the weakest signal tracked from the wiki. Sortable, filterable, comparable; the item pages carry the figures.
1.9.0 2026-09-17
Added
- Data section "Industry": mining lasers (ship and hand-held), mining modules and gadgets, salvage heads and scraper modules, tractor and towing beams, fuel nozzles and fuel pods, multi-tool attachments, the crafting stations - 111 items with the figures the game writes on them, sortable, filterable, comparable. Ore pods for the Prospector, MOLE, Golem, ROC and ROC-DS come from the wiki, as the game files carry no text for them.
- The upload tool reads item texts under every key pattern the game uses (item_Mining_…, item_fuelpod_…, Nozzle_…), not only item_Desc: 2,508 items instead of 2,257.
Changed
- Tractor and towing beams and scraper modules moved from Ship components to Industry.
- Armor slot also read from jacket/pants class names and the item name (the Carnifex set).
1.8.3 2026-09-17
Fixed
- Compare: with three or more picked, the third (and every one with a 1 or 2 at the end of its id - every Mk II) went missing. All picked things show now.
- Compare: "remove" is a proper button and also unticks the thing on the list page.
- Ships list: paint editions and loadout variants the wiki keeps as ships of their own (Carrack BIS 2950, three Idris-P, the PYAM Exec pairs) fold under their base ship; the ship page links them under "Also listed as".
1.8.2 2026-09-17
Added
- Places carry the community wiki's picture and opening lines (starcitizen.tools, CC BY-SA): in the locations table and on each place's page, with the link to the page it came from. Refreshed with the other data.
- Feedback form: an "I'm not a robot" box. Ticking it has the browser solve a small puzzle bound to the form; a script that does not run the page cannot send. No third party involved.
Fixed
- Citizen iD sign-in failed with "did not confirm the sign-in" when the callback reached the site twice at once; the requests now run one after the other and a repeat carries on quietly.
- Ship pages with medical beds by tier (Idris, Carrack, Polaris, Apollo, Cutlass Red, 890 Jump …) showed an error.
- Personal weapons table without the attachments column; the numeric text cells wrap again.
1.8.1 2026-09-17
Changed
- The Data tables fit the page again: text wraps, numbers do not, nothing scrolls sideways. The ships table loses the quantum-speed column and the components table the details column - both live on the item pages.
- Armor has a slot column and filter: helmet, core, arms, legs, backpack, undersuit, suit, mask.
- Blueprints are no longer comparable - a recipe is not a better or worse thing.
1.8.0 2026-09-17
Added
- Compare: tick up to eight ships, ship weapons, components, armor pieces or personal weapons in a table and see them side by side - best value per row in green, worst in red, the rest plain; scrolls sideways.
- Component pages carry the figures a player compares by: shield HP, regen and delay with absorption and resistance per damage type; quantum speed, spool, cooldown, fuel per Gm and the 10-Gm time; power output and cooling; radar sensitivities; EM and IR signature; power and coolant draw; distortion; where to buy; and which ships carry the part as stock.
- Blueprints as their own Data section: all 1,606, with recipe, craft time, what they make (linked to our item, weapon or ship page), the contracts that unlock them, and what they are used in. Contract and item pages link back.
- Data index tiles carry pictures; the ships table is trimmed to the essentials with a status dot.
Changed
- Feedback spam is filtered: a signed form timer, the vocabulary of marketing pitches, and links to other sites from guests file a report as rejected instead of new. Cloudflare Turnstile can be switched on with two keys.
- The admin bar stays on the upload-tool page for staff.
1.7.0 2026-09-16
Added
- Ship pages, second pass: the stock loadout with every component, gun, missile rack and countermeasure linked to our own pages; the in-game price and every shop that sells or rents the ship (via UEX); boost, acceleration and agility; quantum range, spool time, fuel and the Olisar → ArcCorp reference leg; armor factors and IR/EM signature; inventory, weapon rack, beds, escape; power and cooling budget; concept price and date, brochure, trailer, Galactapedia and Whitley's Guide links; the German description on the German site.
- "What CIG says": the RSI Ship Matrix on every ship page - the manufacturer's description, focus, status and figures, and the official render where the wiki has no image. 237 of 253 matrix ships joined.
- In-game price column in the ships table.
- Data refresh runs on its own: every hour the site checks for a new LIVE build, a new wiki data version or a week since the last run, and re-imports everything from the wiki and the Ship Matrix when there is one. The admin overview shows what ran last, and why.
- "How it works" is grouped into four topics with a map at the top, and explains the Data section.
Fixed
- The build label is the one the launcher shows ("Alpha 4.10.1"), read from the launcher log; the game manifest still said 4.10.0 for the 4.10.1 build.
1.6.0 2026-09-16
Added
- MCP endpoint at /mcp: an AI assistant - Claude, a local model, an in-game voice copilot - can search missions, read briefings, objectives, rewards, required items and walkthrough steps, look up locations and items, and check which game build the data is from. Read-only, no account. How to connect: see "How it works".
1.5.0 2026-09-16
Added
- Data section, from the game files: ship components (557), armor (856) and personal weapons (358) with what the game itself writes on the item - type, manufacturer, size, grade, class; damage reduction, temperature rating and radiation figures for armor; magazine, rate of fire, range and attachment slots for weapons. One page per item.
- Locations (699): every named system, planet, moon, station, outpost, cave and lab with the game's description and where it sits - moon → planet → system as links, the places on a body, the contracts that mention it.
- Wiki figures next to the game lines, marked "wiki": shield HP, power, cooling, quantum speed for components; DPS, damage per shot, rate of fire, range for weapons; images.
- Glossary links in briefings lead to our own pages for locations, ships and items now, in the same tab; only what we do not have goes to the Star Citizen Wiki.
Fixed
- Places written with typographic quotes (‘Grim HEX’) were not recognised in briefings.
- Data tables no longer run past the page width.
1.4.0 2026-09-15
Added
- Items a contract asks you to hand over or haul, with amounts - the Wikelo trades above all: the Meteor page now says what Wikelo wants (Favors, Vanduul Plating, a helmet, an artifact) where the briefing only says "you have things I will take". 416 contracts.
- Series strip under the title of every stage of a mission series: stage n of m, previous and next stage as links.
Changed
- "New in build" on the front page shows one tile per mission series - the opening mission with its stages listed - instead of every stage as a separate mission.
1.3.0 2026-09-14
Added
- Data section: every ship and ship weapon as a sortable table, with the figures from the game files (hull, shields, speed, cargo, crew, turret DPS; damage, rate of fire, DPS, range, capacity, heat). One page per thing with the in-game description, the wiki image, and the contracts that mention or craft it. Loadout planning is left to erkul, which the pages link to.
- Roles with several roles per account; the admin menu no longer repeats the staff bar.
- "How it works" explains why the site exists and how to support it (referral code, Buy Me a Coffee).
- Privacy policy and terms; fonts served from the site itself; YouTube embeds load only after a click.
1.2.0 2026-09-13
Added
- Reward, time to complete, reset timer and reputation per contract - read from the game data via star-citizen.wiki, imported weekly. Editors can override reward, time and class.
- Blueprints on the contract page, with the full recipe: ingredients, quality floor, craft time, drop chance. 321 contracts.
- Reputation page: a "Missions" tab per faction listing every contract that raises its standing, with the amount.
- Notes & tips under the walkthroughs: short remarks from players, live on save, no review needed.
- Glossary links: factions, locations, ships and items mentioned in a briefing carry a tooltip with the game's own description and a link - factions to our reputation page, the rest to the Star Citizen Wiki.
- Contract classes as in the mobiGlas Contract Manager (Bounty Hunter, Delivery, Mercenary, …), complete list of 23.
- History page per contract with a colour-coded word diff between game builds; walkthroughs can be prepared against a PTU build.
- Walkthrough steps can be assigned to the stages of a mission series; the stage change is shown in the walkthrough.
- Suggest your own YouTube video for a contract; an editor reviews it.
- "New in build" on the front page for the preview channels: what PTU adds or changes compared with LIVE.
- Game service status (RSI) on the front page.
- Featured contracts on the front page, picked by the team.
- Roles with permissions, editable by admins; custom roles; the role new accounts start with is a setting.
- "Include hidden" search for the team.
Changed
- Everyone who registers can contribute right away - no waiting for approval.
- Guides are gone; what they were in practice were notes, so that is what they are called now. Existing guides became notes.
- Placeholders like "~mission(TargetName)" are rendered everywhere as they are in the briefing, including page titles.
- Contractor names are the real ones (Citizens for Prosperity instead of "CFP"); mission types no longer pose as contractors.
- The guide section moved directly under the walkthroughs.
Fixed
- 1,000+ contracts were missing from the catalogue: the game names them in several ways ("_Title_001", "_title_intro", "_Description", the "veryeasy" tier), and only one was read. The catalogue grew from 599 to 2,488 contracts per channel.
- All 30 Wikelo recipes showed the Apollo text; every contract of a family now carries its own description.
- Front page no longer claims contracts are "new in build" when only our reader improved.
- A stage covered by a series walkthrough counted as "no walkthrough yet".
- Hockrow, Adagio, InterSec and Red Wind show the ladder the game uses.
- Posting a second guide crashed; the video-suggestion form would have crashed on submit.
- Security: script break-out through a walkthrough title in structured data, login without rate limit, the edit form of a foreign draft readable, missing frame headers. Links to other sites cannot be entered in free text any more.
1.1.0 2026-09-08
Added
- Game build switch: LIVE, PTU and HOTFIX side by side, per visitor.
- Walkthrough verification after a patch, votes on walkthroughs, points as a high-water mark.
- Sign in with Citizen iD.
- Feedback from every page, without an account; "broken in game" flags per contract and build.
- Videos from the community on contract pages, curated; points for curating.
- German translation of the whole interface.
- The upload tool as a single file; reads the game files directly.
- Structured data, sitemap, previews for shared links.
Fixed
- Contracts appeared three times after the channel switch.
- A stale loose language file was taken as the game state.
1.0.0 2026-08-25
- Launch: every contract of the current build with objectives read from the game files, walkthrough editor with branches and screenshots, contractor and system filters, reputation ladders and dossiers.
