Steps

1. Contract Welcome to the System

2. Accept contract

   start

   • → Go to Levski

3. Go to Levski

   If you are not already there, fly to Levsky and land in a hangar.

   • → Go to Recco Bataglia

4. Go to Recco Bataglia

   step

   Wait for the instance to be created. When to gate turns green - you may enter

   • → Talk to Recco Bataglia
   

5. Talk to Recco Bataglia

   • → Return to your hangar and retrieve a Misc Prospector Alliance
   
6. Next contract Mining Opportunity — the game hands you this contract automatically when the previous one ends.

7. Return to your hangar and retrieve a Misc Prospector Alliance

   Of course you may use your own mining ship. The rented version will already have a Helix 1 mining laser attached. So it is guarantied that you are able to mine the rocks.

   • → Scan and mine the asteroids

   You have to mine all three asteroids.

   • → Jump back to Levski

   Shortly after you started your quantum jump you'll receive a call from Recco.

   • → Cancel quantum jump

    Once arrived aproach the quantum beacon. About 10 km away you get the mission marker "Board" for the Caterpillar.

    • → Get weapons from the Drake Cutlass Black

    Not a required step but you can gear up for free in the pirates Cutlass Black. You'll also find three nice ship components, mostly military grade.

    • → Kill all enemies
    

15. Kill all enemies

    step

    One enemy will stand directly at the front door. Land behind and directly kill him. Stay where you are and wait for the next four enemies running in your direction. After that run all the way through the ship until you arrive the engine room. Three more enemies are waiting for you here. Most time they will be on the stairs to your left to the commando module. Sometimes one or more are waiting up the ladder in the engine room so they will aproach you from behind if you ascend too fast.

    • → Repair the powerplant
    

16. Repair the powerplant

    step

    The corpse in front of the powerplant has everthing you need. A Multitool and a canister with salvage material. Pick it up, equip the Multitool and right-click to start repairing up to 90% - that's enough to complete this step.

    • → Leave the area
